Into The Mystic by Hansard & Irglova
Fans of the Irish musical Once and those planning to see its stars Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova perform in Kansas City on May 4, 2008, might be interested to see this recent clip of Glen and Marketa performing Van Morrison’s Into The Mystic on the BBC’s Later with Jools Holland.
I say Glen and Marketa, but I really mean just Glen Hansard. You’ll see Marketa there too - she’s the one who gets to do some backing vocals every once (ha ha) in a while into his microphone 12 inches above her head.
Perhaps Jools does a Jon Stewart at the Oscars and brings Marketa back out for her own input? Watch it and see:
For those who may not know, Jools Holland is an original member of Squeeze - though he was neither Glenn Tilbrook nor Chris Difford.
