Riverdance in Kansas City, Missouri
Riverdance is coming, The Johnson County Sun reminds you. Beginning June 27 at the Starlight Theatre.
Riverdance has a former Kansas City area resident, Jenna Woods, as its assistant wardrobe supervisor responsible for looking after costumes for more than 70 cast members.
A Stilwell native and Blue Valley High School graduate, Woods attended the University of Kansas and received a bachelor’s degree in theater design. She has put that training to use in a number of shows, including Footloose and The Music Man.
Although she now resides in Queens, N.Y., Woods relishes the opportunity to bring Riverdance to her home audience at Starlight, a theater where she’s attended countless shows over the years.
This is the end of this particular tour of Riverdance, which gives long-time producers John McColgan and Moya Doherty a chance to concentrate on their next piece of Irish pomp to hit America with, The Pirate Queen.
Riverdance starts Tuesday and runs through July 2 at Starlight Theatre, 4600 Starlight Road, Kansas City, Missouri. For tickets, call (816) 363-7827.
