Metro Artists Concert a Scottish Legacy Night
The 2008 MVFS Metro Artists Concert is a Scottish Legacy Night focusing on the Scottish/Cape Breton wing of the Celtic music tradition.
Hazel Whyte, the Scottish folk singer based in Kansas City, New Zealand accordionist Brett Gibson, and Independence, Missouri based singer Bill Morris are performing.
And it being a Scottish night Libby Lee will have her young Scottish highland competition dancers perform traditional dances in costume, accompanied by highland pipers.
Hazel Whyte is from Paisley in Scotland and performs traditional songs and contemporary folk around Kansas City.
Accordion player Brett Gibson has played with a huge collection of performers in the metro area, like Gabriel’s Gate, Residence Rules, The Elders, and Eddie Delahunt & Friends.

Bill Morris, formerly of Emerald Skye and Gabriel’s Gate, accompanies his baritone vocals with his 6-string guitar.
It takes place on Saturday February 9, 2008, at 8pm at the Community Christian Church, 4601 Main St., Kansas City, Missouri.
