Last Weekend for Titanic Exhibit in Kansas
We’re talking a traveling exhibit of the Irish-built ship here, not the permanent musuem housed in the half-scale replica ship in Branson, Missouri. Though like the Missouri museum you also receive your admission ticket here in the name of a real passenger from the Titanic’s fatal voyage and find out before you leave if that person lived or died.
Maybe some day we’ll do this for a September 11 museum.
Sunday, March 25 is the last day for Ttianic: The Artifact Exhibition in Wichita, Kansas
Here’s what the exhibit claims are the main features you get to enjoy:
• Encounter authentic artifacts rescued from the Titanic wreck site.
• View exact re-creations of the ship’s interior.
• Touch an “iceberg” to feel how cold it was that fateful night.
• Delve into the groundbreaking science of restoring and conserving its artifacts.
Can you really tell how cold a night was a hundred years ago and thousands of miles away, by touching a piece of ice?
