Irish Music Sessions at the KC Irish Cultural Center
Did you know there are jam sessions by Irish musicians of traditional tunes from 1–4pm every 3rd Sunday of the month at the Irish Museum and Cultural Center in Union Station?
And that they’re FREE? Actually, they’re also smoke-free and alcohol-free if you’re somebody not overly comfortable with sessions in their more usual pub atmosphere.
Of course it being a Cultural Center you aren’t going to be refused any donations you care to make.
For the next few months the 3rd Sunday falls on the following dates:
February 17, 2008
March 15, 2008* (a Saturday once-off switch)
April 20, 2008
May 18, 2008
June 15, 2008
July 20, 2008
August 17, 2008
September 21, 2008
And I need to put them on the Events Calendar.
You can find some more information on FolkJam
Thanks to Pete Maher for reminding us that the sessions are held in a smoke-free and alcohol-free environment.

Don’t forget to mention these are smoke- and alcohol-free sessions, for those who want the “session” experience without the “pub” experience that so usually accompanies the music.
