Great Chance for Charities to Win Cash Prizes
Over the weekend Debbie Van Pelt-McEnroe, of North Kansas City’s Snake Saturday parade, was telling me that they still have space for more entries - particularly for charities in the Rainbow Division. And it’s quite possible that every qualifying charity will win at least $200, with the top prize being $7,000.
You need to be quick though because the deadline for entering is Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Entry blanks are available at www.SnakeSaturday.com or by calling 816-421-4438.

2nd $5,000
3rd $3,000
4th $2,000
5th $1,000
11th - 15th $500 each
16th - 20th $300
21st- 25th $200
To qualify, charities don’t have to be located in the Northland, but at least part of their resources must benefit Northlanders, and they must have a 501(C)3 tax designation from the IRS.
In other Snake Saturday events, entries are being taken through March 1 for the Lad & Lassie Contest, Missouri State Championship Barbecue Contest and the Charity Cook-off.
