Gaelic Storm in Emporia, KS and in Simlish
Gaelic Storm are playing Emporia on Friday, February 29th, 2008.
This is the night before Pat and the gang play in Kansas City and I mentioned this gig in that post but it’s worth highlighting by itself for those who would otherwise miss it - and because I was asked.
In other Gaelic Storm news, and this follows somewhere between the inspired and the plain weird, Gaelic Storm have made available as a FREE download their song Scalliwag in Simlish. Yes Simlish.
Recorded specially for EA Games Sims video games the words have been translated into the seeming gibberish that is the language of those who play Sims. There is no English in it at all. In other words it pretty much sounds like the Raggle Taggle Gypsy.
You can listen to it on their MySpace page and download it from there for free. I’m not sure, but I think it’s actually quite good. The song appears in both “The Sims2 Castaway” and “The Sims2 Bon Voyage” video games, both of which are recent releases.

Gaelic Storm is not to be confused with the Gaelic mass, which is a mass in the Irish language, but for all most mass-goers know it might as well be in Simlish.
