Aye Aye Aye Aye
When you say aye aye aye aye, and you don’t say Moosey, it means things aren’t great. In other words it’s not a case of Everbody Salsa.
I came to Kansas City for a reason, and it wasn’t to get my dog.
Yes I am definitely bringing my dog to Ireland, but I don’t actually need to be here to do that. The pet transport people that you have to book through if you’re using Aer Lingus to import your pet, have most everything taken care of and I just need to pick up my dog in Dublin. And clearly that doesn’t require me being in America.
So I’m here for another purpose. But unless that happens the trip is a waste of time. And a waste of a lot of money. Which is how things currently stand.
And without a change this trip will then be a goodbye, a reluctant one, to Kansas City for good. I won’t be back.
There are only so many years you can politely bang your head off a wall.
On a positive note however, my webhosting people disabled a load of my domains in the middle of the night and after a mere 7 hours mired in tech support chats, emails and phone calls, they’ve said sorry and all have been re-instated.
Eolai, the dog must have been doing that dance where she wiggles around on her back when she saw you again.
When I left my 4 year stint in Kansas, I couldn’t wait to see the back of the place and swore I’d never return.
I hope things go the way you wanted. Also hope we get to see you Thursday.
Ouch! And a second ouch on the hosting bit - I was wondering about that.
Actually, make that 99 ouches on the first and 1 ouch on the second. In metric that makes a total of 10 tonne of bollixology.
Ahhh, Ta a fhios agam cad a tharla anois. Ni raibh me abalta an website a usaid de mhairt. Taim ag smaoineamh ort, agus ag smaoineamh ar nua ranganna gaeilge mar a ta mo gaeilge uafasach, go hairithe gan aon saghas gramadach.
I hope your time and money won’t be wasted.
Good luck.
So, how’s it going?
“And without a change this trip will then be a goodbye, a reluctant one, to Kansas City for good. I won’t be back.”
I hope that’s not true, my friend.
Otherwise I’ll be forced to make a trip to the Emerald Isle and no good can come from that.
Medbh - the dog was very happy indeed, and even happier the second time she saw me probably because it wasn’t a 4-month gap that time.
Spyder - thanks. And thanks for last night. And extra thanks.
Primal - aye
AnDiOgF - aye. Agus aye.
Sam - Thanks, but alas it’s too late now.
Martha - Could be better, but as it’s not exactly a surprise I’m enjoying the leftovers.
XO - All kinds of good could come from such a trip; for starters you could tell people I’m talking tosh when I talk about Ireland
