An Irish Conversation in the American Midwest #19
Restaurant
-Where are you going?
-Where are YOU going?
-To the restaurant; it’s right there
-But the car is down here
-But the restaurant is just there
-But the car is this way
-But we don’t need the car to eat
-We do need the car
-Not to eat
-Why would we not go to the car?
-Because the restaurant isn’t much more than 100 yards away
-But the car is nearer
-Yes, but I think we can walk the hundred yards
-But then we’d have to walk back again to get the car
-Yes, but we’ll be fortified by multiple slim burgers then so I think we’ll be able to do it
-Why won’t you just go to the car?
-Because it’s parked just fine, and I’m looking at the restaurant
-I’m going to the car
-I’m going to the restaurant
-I’ll see you there
