1st Round KO Victory for Fagan in Wichita, KS
Anybody interested in the Irish boxer who fought in Kansas last week, Oisin Fagan the Irish Light Welterweight Champion no less, based in Oklahoma, might be pleased to know that he won his match against Josh Hammock via a 1st Round Knock-Out.
Well of course you won’t be pleased to know this if the reason you were interested is because you were cheering for Hammock, but hey, this is a self-centered Irish website. Sorry.
Fagan’s next fight is in his native Dublin where he faces Dubliner Brighton’s Chill John at the Point on June 23, 2007. That’s a great name, Chill John.
This June night is a card that sees the return of the Pocket Rocket, Irish boxing hero, the former World Champion and Olympic medallist, Wayne McCullough.
And the night’s boxing is also going to host the first ever Women’s professional fight to be staged in the Republic of Ireland. And because of this, the daughter of the most famous Irish-American to ever run over my sister’s toe, gets a name-check.
Once again the story comes from IrishBoxing.com
