Green Drinks for St. Patrick’s Day
Not that I’m expecting you to trip down to Wichita but its paper, courtesy of Alison Ladman, has 3 examples of green drinks you can have instead of green beer on St Patrick’s Day.
This is presumably because green in a beer is plain wrong if not just mad Ted, but having a beverage that is green is nonetheless essential for the big parading day.
And the 3 green alternatives to green beer?
- An Irish Grasshopper (Irish cream liquer and creme de cacao with creme de menthe for the green)
- An Emerald Mary (vodka based with avocado, lime, tomatillos and cilantro for the green)
- A Herbal Remedy (Irish whiskey based with mint, basil and lime for the green)
Or add ice to the blender and turn your Herbal Remedy into a frozen Irish margarita.
