Gaelic Storm CD Reviewed
Irish Festival stars, Gaelic Storm, have posted a review of their CD Bring Yer Wellies. I think it’s meant to be a good review, but where I come from, ’smarmy’ is not a compliment.
Still, I guess the band must be happy or it wouldn’t be up there - though I think you’d be better off buying the CD yourself and doing your own review.
The smarmy, Irish-enthused folk-pop is classic Irish pub music that will make you dance so hard you’ll indubitably spill your pint of ale all over your shirt, and then you won’t care
smarm·y (smär’m?): Hypocritically, complacently, or effusively earnest; unctuous. Unpleasantly and excessively suave or ingratiating in manner or speech
