Flogging Molly in KC: Green 17 Tour
Flogging Molly return to Kansas City on their annual Green 17 Tour as they play the Uptown Theater on Tuesday, February 24, 2009.
This is the 5th year now for the Green 17 Tour and in 2009 it kicks off on Feb 15. The 2009 Green 17 Tour is being supported by the release of FL’s 3rd radio single, “Lightning Storm,” off their latest album FLOAT.
The tour will be making 22 stops nationwide from February through March, including 2 festivals, Langerado in Miami and the Shamrock Festival in Washington D.C.
Presale tickets are available right now (Dec 12) but it’s hardly worth me mentioning them as tickets go on sale to the general public from tomorrow, Saturday Dec 13, 2008.
Usually when I post on Flogging Molly, the one-time headliners of the now gone Brookside Irish Festival, I mention something the lead singer, fellow Dub Dave King, said to me once upon a time - but I can’t me bothered anymore. If you like you could have a read of an old post.
Uptown Theater - great venue. Tickets are all general admission, and are $25. Buy them online from TicketMaster.
The KC gig is scheduled to start at 7:30pm.
Flogging Molly play the Pageant in St Louis the night following their Kansas City gig.
