Flannigan’s Right Hook Take Over KC and Llywelyn’s Pub
I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Flannigan’s Right Hook have taken over the Kansas City Irish Events calendar.
Frequent gigs have been added to their schedule out at Llywelyn’s on 151st Street by Metcalf where the boys are the house band. Some of these have the pared down to the 2 out of 3 ain’t bad version of the boys (just Cameron & Shane), but I make no distinction on my events calendar.
Also, for space reasons, I sometimes shorten their name to Flannigan’s R.H. It’s not ideal but in a world with long month names and limited character space, them’s the breaks.
Llywelyn’s Pub is located at 6995 W 151st St Overland Park, Kansas, and is “Celtic for Good Times”. It opened on July 17th, 2007 and though it carries a Welsh name, it exists to celebrate the food and drink of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
From an Irish point of view, every Wednesday Flannigans Right Hook perform and, among other specials, Guinness, Smithwicks, and Harp pints all sell for $3.50. I don’t know if those are Imperial pints.
