Croagh Patrick in Japan
Do you remember last year when I told you about The Cherry Coke$? (and note that spelling)
Yeah ya do. We talked of Scorsese, and Japan and the Pogues, and I showed you the Cherry Coke$‘ video Bullet for Vapid Beer.
Well, they’re not alone. All the way from County Mayo, via Japan, I give you, this not as well made, truth be told, video of The Croagh Patrick:
And over on their MySpace there’s more of course, and I do find it almost impossible not to like, jiyu-to iu na no kuni from 2007’s Hell’s Jig, though I also have a soft spot for Come Back Again from 2004’s Slainte, even if I don’t know the words to that one either.
Truth be told, there’s even more. Royal Shamrock are subtitled the Toyko Brash Buskers, though their brash busking is a little more restrained than the Coke$ or the Patrick.
And that’s enough truth telling for now.
