Cherish The Ladies with Wichita Symphony Orchestra
If you’re over Wichita way on Saturday, you may well be interested in an Irish Pops Concert.
The Wichita Symphony Orchestra with Cherish the Ladies, at 8pm on Saturday September 27, at the Century II Convention Hall.
Michael Krajewski is the guest conductor.
Cherish the Ladies are fairly handy at this classical pops stuff; the “Celtic Album”, their collaboration with the Boston Pops Symphony led to a 1999 Grammy nomination.
Tickets are great value at $5 balcony, $10 loge, $15 or $30 tables, available at the box office, online at www.wso.org, or by calling 316-267-7658.
Note that the site they use for selling tickets online does not support many popular web browsers, including quite possibly the one you use, so if you don’t fancy the telephone you may to revert to the dreaded Internet Explorer.

The Ladies change personnel from time to time, but seem to retain their identity and class. Joanie Madden being at the helm probably helps. Alumni include such ridiculous talent as Cathie Ryan, Eileen Ivers, and my favourite, Heidi Talbot.
