2008 Westport St. Patrick’s Day Run
The Westport St. Patrick’s Day Run, the 30th Annual holding of the event, takes place on Saturday March 15, 2008 at 20:00 10am.
It’s not a 5K, it’s a 4-mile event, and 3,000 runners and walkers are expected.
It starts and finishes right by Westport Rd. & Pennsylvania Ave in Kansas City, MO. You are encouraged to wear green and other wacky Irish stuff. Wear apricot I say, that’s wacky as a representation of Irishness.
Basic individual entry is $18, but there are cheaper prices for certain cases - see the online registration form. Late-Entry is $26.
A Fun Run for Kids will take place on Pennsylvania Avenue, just north of the finish line area and Westport Road at about 11:15am - whenever the main event is over. Entry for the kids’ thing is $7 or, if you’re late, $10 and you get at-shirt and gift-bag as well as getting to run the 40-70 yards.
