2 New Songs From The Elders
Eagle-eyed Elders fans, (or should that be owl-eared?) spotted two new songs tried out by The Elders last weekend at the Scottish Festival in Riverside, Missouri.
One song was played on Friday night’s gig at the Highland Games affair, and another on Saturday night’s at the 2-day festival.
Steve Philips confirmed in the Elders official fans’ forum that:
“Kathleen” was written by Brent and was inspired by a book that he read about Irish Myths & Legends (it’s not about anyone we know)
Brent also wrote the lyrics to “Better Days Ahead.” The music was inspired by an old Scottish tune that Brettski gave me a while back.
And Steve promised that more new songs are on their way. Only a year after the very successful release of Racing The Tide, The Elders clearly aren’t standing still on that success.
