Winnetonka HS Celtic Rock Gig in KC Community News
The concert this weekend of The Elders at Winnetonka High School gets featured in the KC Community News today.
This is the fundraiser that takes place this Saturday, April 19th, 2008 that’s been listed on the Irish events calendar for some time.
Ray Weikal’s article tells us that Elders keyboardist Joe Miquelon played saxophone for the Winnetonka High School marching band and was class president back in the 1970s.
Proceeds from the show will benefit the Winnetonka Drama Mamas and Poppas, which supports the high school’s theater program. The group hopes to use part of the money raised for college scholarships
You’ll also see a photo with the article of Ian Byrne from during the Elders‘ February concert at Oak Park High School following the school’s jazz band performance.
