Tiresome Irish Comments
Received a peculiar comment in the spam basket here at Towers gan Fhéile in the early hours:
Hey Irish KC, I tried to post a comment about the Elders charity shows last week on another Irish blog in Kansas City. It was in response to another comment but even tho my comment was hilarious and relevant, it didn’t get published. Hopefully you will publish this with both comments. -child of grace
Hold your horses there, Child of Grace. I sympathize with you coming a cropper against an editorial moderation regime (as i’m sure Tony and XO both would), but I must say that your comment wasn’t actually that funny, and neither was it particularly pertinent to the Irish scene in Kansas City or the midwest.
As such it’s perfect for Irish KC, so here it is, along with the original comment:

“[actual artists are] the kind you see in films living romantic lives in garrets and drafty lofts, eating Top Ramen and drinking wine and pouring forth their tortured genius to broaden our understanding of the human condition.”
Gawd, ain’t they a tiresome lot, though? Used to be married to one.
Comment by Child of Grace:
I agree with the other commenter. That’s the reason why I didn’t go see the Elders play at Paddy O’Quigleys. It was another charity gig, this time for those Leukemia people. Gawd, ain’t they such a bunch of victims though? Used to be married to one.
Which reminds me, I have a painting I’m going to offer for sale at a massively reduced price specially just for Irish KC readers. Oh, and Child of Grace, stop using anonymous proxies and you won’t find yourself in so many spam buckets.
