The Mickey Finns
The Mickey Finns are the Saturday night house band at Paddy Reilly’s legendary Irish Music Pub in New York, that has showcased Black 47, Eileen Ivers, Cherish The Ladies, and countless more great Irish acts
Ray Kelly, Matt Mancuso and Brian Tracey have Irish pub music pedigree. Guitarist Kelly is a Clareman formerly of The Boatmen in Ireland, and the popular Prodigals, who were started in New York by Sean McCabe of the McCabes.
Matt Mancuso has toured as the lead fiddler in Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, though his attendance at the 2006 Weston Irish Festival suggests he didn’t get an invite to the oily-chested wonder’s wedding in Ireland this October 14.

Tracey is your percussion man, and another former member of The Prodigals. These boys have been around and know their stuff, and if sweating, drinking, toe-tapping, hollering, and groping the opposite gender - or the same gender for that matter - are your thing, whilst listening to Irish music, then you’ll have a grand time herever you mange to see them play.
Here’s a short video clip (30 secs) of The Mickey Finns performing in Byrnes Pub in Columbus, Ohio, inJuly of 2006 - courtey of YouTube:
Visit the band’s official website WARNING: When I go there, four - that’s FOUR - different songs play automatically simultaneously, and unless you’ve been drinking rather a lot and are in the Zone with a head like an 8-track recording machine, well, it’s headache time.
