The 26th annual Hope in the Heartland Summer Gala takes place Saturday, August 25th, 2007 at the InterContential Hotel on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza.
The event is a benefit run by The American Cancer Society (ACS), which is a nationwide, community-based voluntary health organization headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
Few causes touch us like the horror of cancer and the proceeds from the Hope in the Heartland event go directly to fund the ACS mission of eliminating cancer through research, education, advocacy, and service within the community and or nationwide.
Of interest to Irish-American would-be benefactors is the appearance at the event of The Elders at 10:00pm in what is described as an “invigorating live performance”.
Silent and Live auctions are either side of an elegant dinner and speaking program prior to The Elders performance..
One of Kansas City’s premier black-tie charity events, the ACS Hope in the Heartland Gala has raised millions in the previous 25 years.
Tickets are $250 per ticket or $2,500 for a table of 10. To purchase tickets, please contact: Steve and Laura Parkey at 913-271-6077
