Shamrocks & Shenanigans was the name given to Kansas City’s Festival of Irish & Rock Music dowtown at the KC Live stage, and Jason recounts his experience on The Buzz 96.5 blog:
There were 2 bands before ours hit the stage… A feisty, folksy Irish band shot out some
tunes for the crowd, including the King of The Hill theme and Last Dance w/Mary Jane… The fiddle worked well… A red-headed lass bounced around onstage a la Lord of the Dance, and in the crowd a warm-blooded Asian chick gyrated and shook booty like it was Flashdance… I kept my sunglasses on………..….but THEN…. A much quiter, much more traditional Irish band took the stage… Complete with a fog machine
