St Patrick’s Day ‘08 at O’Malleys of Weston, MO
O’Malley’s 1842 Irish Pub of Weston, Missouri is a fantastic pub I’ve gone on about a fair bit here on Irish KC. It’s also the pub more than any other pub in the region that has done the most in bringing live Irish music to the people of Kansas City (and around).
A historic and unique pub, it’s just a very cool place all by itself but it also has probably the best lineup of Irish entertainment on the big day, March 17, St Patrick’s Day, 2008 in one of the biggest parties in the area.
And because O’Malley’s is Irish all year round, you can also catch live Irish music on the days before St Patrick’s Day.
March 14 Friday Ellis Island @ 8pm
March 15 Saturday Bob Reeder @ 8pm, and Ellis Island @ 8pm
March 16 Sunday Bob Reeder @ 3pm
Live Irish Music on St Patrick’s Day:
• Bob Reeder 4-6pm
• Connacht Town 5-6pm
• Ellis Island 6-9pm
• Tullamore 8pm-midnight
• Flannigan’s Right Hook 9pm-midnight
Make sure you check out some of their own beers while you’re there; they’re really rather good. You have the Irish Style Cream Ale, the Emerald Lager, the ISB (Irish Style Bitter) and the Festival Ale, an Irish Style Brown.
You can also get their Emerald Lager, ISB and Festival Ale in a 6-pack that O’Malley’s have given the horrific name “Pack-O-Craic”. I had one recently -yes a whole pack - and once I got past the name I had a fine time.
O’Malley’s 1842 Irish Pub is located at 500 Welt Street in Weston, Missouri and can be reached at (816) 640 5235
