Snow Patrol play Kansas City, MO
On Thursday, August 2, 2007 Snow Patrol play the Memorial Hall Uptown Theater in Kansas City, Missouri.
If you can’t wait, just keep going to Spiderman 3 and that’s them there at the end.
And if you don’t know who Snow Patrol are, well if you’ve watched any drama whatsoever on prime-time television in the US in the last year, be assured you have heard them.
Snow Patrol, that Irish, I mean Scottish, I mean British, I mean Northern Irish, I mean who gives a dog’s, band, pulled out of the last trip bringing them to these here parts due to throat problems. That’s a medical term rather than a marketing term for drink.
Snow Patrol have been around long enough already to have gone from having Belle & Sebastian members play on their early stuff, to huge success, to general backlash, and on to band member changes. But they’re still one of the biggest rock sounds you’ll hear coming out of Ireland these days, and they have sold in the millions.

Leaving the bursting heat of Phoenix, Arizona on the tour bus. Even walking the 100 yards to the bus from the hotel felt like the journey to the centre of the earth. How people not only live here but function too, in the 115-degree heat, is a mystery. It’s eighty degrees at nighttime. Nighttime! That’s when the sun is on the other side of the planet. I’m Irish of course so it’s no surprise I’m not used to the heat but even so this seems ludicrous.

When this tour is over Snow Patrol are scheduled to work on recording a new album, with Jacknife Lee again at the helm - after he finishes the final touches to R.E.M.’s latest album in Dublin.

Went to the concert last night - they were brilliant!
