Small Paintings of Animals
Here’s a selection from a series of 40 very small paintings I did once upon a time in KC.
They are of animals, all about 2 inches by 3 inches - the paintings not the animals.
And although it may not be too obvious they were painted initially under the influence of Irish illuminated manuscripts - even though there aren’t too many wildebeests in the Book of Kells.
• Ram
• Cat
• Chimp
• Walrus
• Zebra
• Rhino
• Dog
• Panda
• Bonobo
• Owl
• Bear
• Duck, Standing
• Wildebeest
Followers of my Irish sKCraps will have been aware of some of these already.
I still have most of the original 40 because when I first started to sell them I began to miss them. Anyway, because of their ease of shipment I’m now thinking of offering them for sale again while the bigger pieces go into storage. If I do they’ll be $25 I think. I’ll let you know.
As usual you can see links to most other paintings over on my Irish Paintings page.
Why do you only have a Duck … Standing? I like the idea of a Sitting Duck.
It’s a fine idea Oiseau; I must work on it. Though in my defence I don’t only have a Duck, Standing - I also have a Duck, Flying and a Duck, Stopping (stopping what?), though you couldn’t have known that.
Here’s Duck, Flying:
