Scooter Goes to Leavenworth’s Irish Pubs
On Good Friday, Scooter did one of his large pub crawls of which he posted photos and details of - mostly in the Leavenworth area. Weston is also included although
Two of the pubs included are Marfield’s Irish Pub in a Mexican disguise (#5), and Fatheads Irish Pub (#9). And the common theme, through misfortune and design, is lack of Guinness:
I don’t understand the concept of places that call themselves Irish pubs but don’t have Guinness on tap.
You should go to Cork, Scoot. See the following about stout consumption in Ireland’s County Cork (source):
Although Diageo’s brand Guinness has over 85% of the national market, it faces much stronger competition in Cork from Heineken’s brand Murphy’s and S&N’s product, Beamish, where cumulatively these two brands have around 50% of the market.
Have a read of Scooter’s post. I love these posts he does especially the great collection of photographs of the exteriors - which never fail to bring on a very pleasant thirst.
