Memorial Day Weekend in Kansas City. Some Irish events for you.
• Irish Award-winning film The Wind That Shakes The Barley is held over at the Tivoli for a third week. Go see see before deciding who to hate from Irish history.
• Saturday May 26th, 2007 sees The Elders performing at The Great American BBQ at the Woodlands, Kansas City, KS. The lads are on stage at 10:15 just after the fireworks. Tickets are $10 or $15 for weekend pass. Kids under 12 are FREE.
• Sunday May 27th, 2007, you know there’s a little Irish festival called the Celtic Block Party at Governor Stumpy’s in Waldo, right? Highlights include Tullamore and The Elders
• The Triple P Irish Pub in Greenwood, Missouri over by Lee’s Summit is 1 year old. Cue anniversary party on Saturday, May 26 2007.
• Flannigan’s Right Hook are at O’Malley’s in Weston, Friday and Saturday. Eddie Delahunt plays the Westsider Friday and O’Dowd’s Sunday, Bob Reeder plays Kyle’s Friday, and O’Malleys on Sunday.
• Oh, and somebody called Gaelic Storm plays the Grand Emporium TONIGHT, Friday May 25, 2007.
