Planting Irish Potatoes
Planting Irish potatoes
Word of the day for me: tuberization
From the High Plains Journal:
We have a good reminder of when to plant Irish potatoes –Saint Patrick’s Day. Potatoes are a cool-loving crop that needs to be planted early so they can complete the majority of their growth and tuberization when cool temperatures prevail. Thus, we pay a price anytime that potatoes are not planted in mid to late March.
