New Irish Pub for KC Area
Waxy O’Shea’s Irish Pub is to open at Quivira Road and Shawnee Mission Parkway in Shawnee in the former Bandana’s Bar-B-Q spot.
This is a sister pub to one of the same name in Branson, Missouri.
Expect a mixture of Irish and American food. And live music too. Probably the amount of Irish interest in the pub will determine if that music is of the Irish traditional and Celtic rock type, or the type you find in any pub in KC.
Can the area sustain another Irish pub? No idea, but maybe the closure of some pubs has left a gap. One thing for certain though, those behind the name of Waxy O’Shea’s have a pedigree in Kansas City Irish pubs, and a successful record of at least opening Irish pubs.
