Larry Kirwan Goes Shopping
Tower Records is going out of business, and Black 47’s Larry Kirwan was spotted at the New York store with his hands in the rock bins, whilst mourning Tower’s imminent loss:
It’s a bad day for music, Kirwan said. It’s a bad day for independent bands. … Right from the beginning, even before we were signed with labels they carried us. They’ve been good to musicians
And there’s more from Larry who gets a tad philosophical over music formats. Meanwhile reading about another person in the store I have a question. What do you call a customer with his arms full of discounted produce he loves?
I don’t own a computer, I don’t know how to work one and don’t plan to buy one, he said, holding a bag full of CD’s and tapes. I’m disenfranchised for the umpteenth time
That’s right boys and girls, disenfranchised. Bonus points if you said, for the umpteenth time.
Happy has a unique Kansas City angle.
