Kansas City Irish Festival on Twitter
Kansas City’s Labor Day Weekend Irish festival is now on Twitter. A good move I’d say.
If you’re on Twitter then you know what to do. If you’re not, then you might consider signing up (takes seconds) and following. For some people, and I might even be one of them, Twitter has effectively replaced feeds - not that they directly compete, but you’ll probably find your feed reading habits change after you join Twitter.
If you aren’t very familiar with Twitter I don’t feel up to a defence or an explanation right now, but most people I know who use it love it.
For organisations and corporations to be successful when using social media, they need to be interactive, transparent, and open to criticism. I’ve found a couple of companies in Ireland to be excellent on Twitter - because they get it.
I forget exactly but me the author has been on Twitter for 18 months to 2 years I think - I’m coming up to 1,200 tweets - and I launched a separate IrishKC specific Twitter account more recently.
This piece of news came to my attention when I received notification that I was being followed by the festival.
