Irish Settlement in Mexico Represented at Northland Festival
Cellifish and Deep C Bass is a group of North Kansas City High School students who today, Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Northland Ethnic Festival are performing a blend of Irish and Mexican music representing a little known history of Irish settlement in Mexico.
Inspired by the Kansas City Ethnic Festival, the goal of the Northland Ethnic Festival is to increase the awareness of diversity in the Northland, and more than 3 dozen countries from every continent except Australia and Antarctica will be represented at the festival.
Cellifish and Deep C Bass are scheduled to perform at 12:15pm
Location
1,500 people are expected to attend this year’s annual festival of ethnic food, music, dance, and crafts at Park Hill High School gym, 7701 N.W. Barry Road, Kansas City North.
Admission
Admission is FREE thanks to grants from the Kansas City Tourism Board and Platte County Parks and Recreation Department.
