Irish Pint Night in Mickey’s Irish Pub
Hey did you know that TONIGHT, Friday, (June 27, 2008 in case you’re reading this a couple of years from now) is Irish Pint Night in Mickey’s Irish Pub, where frankly with a name like that it should be Irish Pint Night every night?
You did?
Well for those who didn’t, Irish Pint Night means that you can get Guinness for just $3.25, and the godawful Smithwicks (remember peeps, the “w” is silent just like the gasps of satisfaction) for a mere $2 and Harp if you think Irish people can make lager, also for just $2.
Shocking good value I say, though I can’t say if the pints are the size pints we know in Ireland, those Imperial pints, or if they’re your standard American model 4/5ths the size of the Imperial beast. Either way good value I say.
But from good value we go to outrageous value. The dinner special on Irish Pint Night is:
ALL YOU CAN EAT FISH AND CHIPS! ONLY $8
And that’s both absurd and obscene. Fish & Chips, unlike shrimp feasts or pizza slices, is not something you’re meant to eat more and more of until you’re as big as your neighbours; it’s a meal.
