You know, I would have thought that to be a dumb question until I spent last 4th of July in Dublin. There were 4th of July specials everywhere. That and the BBC wished all of the Americans a happy Independence Day. I found that to be quite ironic.

Reminds me of when I was working with a US multi in Dublin and we had a senior manager transferred from Lenexa on March 16.
Over a ‘meet and greet’ lunch he piped up “so, do you guys all go to the mainland for the holiday?”
He topped that some time later when, as a big nascar fan, he announced he had gone to the “nas races” at the weekend but “they were doing some horse thing instead” so he’d left immediately. He had been to the Naas Races.
