Irish Cinema Recommendation of Bruno. Or Not
Thought I’d share this snippet with you. Doing the rounds on Ireland’s blogs, forums, and radio stations today is this phone greeting at a cinema in Ireland for “Bruno”.
The link will take you to a short video where you get to listen to, well, not your typical announcement of a film showing at your cinema. The cinema theatre in question is in Navan, which is the main town in County Meath, about 30 miles northwest of Dublin - but a not overly exciting cycle.
Update: Posters promoting the film are now using a quote from the phone message - though it still doesn’t top the quote from Irish columnist John Waters on the radio earlier this week:
Is this what the men of 1916 died for?
Oh, and I didn’t mention twitter above because things don’t do the rounds on twitter - they light up twitter. And lighting up Irish twitterland today was the above phone message with everybody calling the Navan number and urging others to do likewise.
