Yes I hear the same rumours you do, mostly because I start them.
Robert wants you to know something, and I don’t blame him even though this was posted on an old April entry about the OTHER WJ McBride’s. I should probably move it, but he did post it yesterday - honest.
Also, the WJ McBrides’ (South not West) website has been down for some time - not that it has been up to much for a long time anyway.
As of now (3:48 am) The Kelihans and Flannigan’s Right Hook have all the dates at WJ McBrides still listed on their respective MySpace pages.

Some folks from work and I headed over there last Friday (Dec 1st). There was a sign up noting that the Xerox Employee party had been moved to Old Chicago. There was also a chalkboard sign that noted they would not be open that night. We chalked it up to all the weather we’ve had and whatnot and went on our way. We went by there last night (Tuesday) to find the doors locked and nobody inside. The phone number reports as temporarily disconnected. Made a call to the one over in KCK and they said that supposedly it’s closed for good.
