The New Newsroom on St Patrick’s Day ‘09 in KC
Most of us tend to go to the Newsroom when we should be going home, or we should be going to Chubby’s. But St Patrick’s Day is different.
The Newsroom is located at 3740 Broadway, right on the new route of the Kansas City St Patrick’s Day Parade
The Newsroom is open on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 from 6am to 3am - and that’s a long St Patrick’s Day by anybody’s measure.
There are 4 bands playing live from 1:00pm - 6:00pm. Both rooftop balconies are open for parade viewing and there’s a live feed from Channel 9 News.
The newly revitalized Newsroom is now all fancy with a stone and wrought iron surrounded smoking patio with an entrance from the main bar, newly tiled main floor and renovated restrooms. There’s a new kitchen too but I don’t think it will be open in time for Paddy’s Day.
As you’d expect there are beer and drink specials all day long. Beer to go will also be available, though be careful and be legal where exactly you go with it. Breakfast burritos and Corned Beef sandwiches are also going to be available.
