Riverdance Facts & Figures
In advance of Kansas City’s outdoor Starlight Theatre season beginning on Tuesday with Riverdance, today’s Kansas City Star throws some random facts and figures about the original Irish dance extravaganza at us, like:
• Each dancer executes 10,000 steps per show, a suspiciously round number.
• The show uses 15,000 pounds of dry ice each month, making it authentically Celtic.
• The company masseuse gives 2,880 minutes of massages to dancers each week, which is 48 hours - or a fairly unremarkable working week whether you’re Irish or American.
Tickets to the Starlight engagement are $9-$64. Call (816) 363-7827. See Events Calendar for performances
