This is post # 1,500 on Irish KC since the site began in March of 2006 - which doesn’t actually mean a whole lot as there has been over 2,000 pages on the site for some time.
What am I talking about? These words you are reading now whether on the site, in an aggregator, or in your feed reader, are a post. However this painting of Kansas City is a page - it stands outside the blog system never appearing on the main index (home) page, or any of the archives or categories.
And why? To reduce clutter. Especially for my beloved feed readers - you are my favourites. And it’s the method by which I will be publishing hundreds of pages on St Patrick’s Day in Kansas City without my feed readers having to wade through them.
This page on The Gaf is another example of a page that’s not a post.
