Mike Got Spiked
Keep an eye out in the US for the tremendous Mike Got Spiked. Indiana tonight, Ohio tomorrow, for example.
And as Aaron of the Wild Clover Band told us, the up and coming Irish rocksters recently played Kearney, Nebraska
Born of Monaghan and Dublin, Mike Got Spiked are loud and heavy, but intelligent and musical with it as they fuse in quieter moments of many genres.
Last year they were a successful part of the Warped Tour in Canada. Currently they’re touring all over the US, before returning to Ireland at the end of the year.
If it’s Celtic Rock you’re in search of, MGS are not your man, though you will probably really like Whiskey For Me Tae, a single of theirs which is great fun and would fit in comfortably at an Irish Festival near you, but really, everything else by them is so much better.
