Listening To…Three Folk Songs
As I go about my life refusing to work, there is a soundtrack, and for now punk and the Pixies are curiously absent.
In the gorgeous and rare, damp vital weather of Kansas City these last couple of days, I’ve been listening to a modern Irish folk song, an electro folk song on an Irish label, and a non-Irish psych folk song. Not that I want to pigeonhole anybody.
1) Fionn Regan’s Abacus - Track 4 on Regan’s MySpace, but you’ll first have to scroll down and stop a video.
2) Eglantine Gouzy’s Sante - Track 3 on her MySpace (Thanks)
3) Joanna Newsom’s Sprout and the Bean - beautiful harp work on the only track available on her MySpace
Psst..everything is about to change. On more than one level.

Unfortunately MySpace is banned here at work, but I’ll check these out tonight. Interesting choices.
Site looks good - well, the bits that are done.
Thanks.
Mid-implementation - damn that six-hour time difference - America is in bed you know. Bar the tweaking most of the big stuff should be finished soon. Ah, but there’s the kettle.
