Listening To Lisa Dee
Lisa Dee. From Dublin. Irish Hip-Hop. Has supported Grandmaster Flash, and Public Enemy. Now based in London.
The great Sick and Tired samples Kate Bush. Deep is gorgeous. Surprise, Lisa Dee is on MySpace
Do you remember when you first heard Luka Bloom cover LL Cool J? Or Damien Dempsey put more syllables than you thought there were into Dublin Town?

She’s no Lady Sov, but I like it. Good call. And yes, I can hear Luka’s “I
Need Love” playing in my mind right now.
The girl is complete talent through and through. I actually came across her live performance at an Inde in The Buffalo bar in London. I’m an Irish student living in Islington and heard about this Irish Rapper and it so happened that one of my favourite bands “Early Dear” were performing on the same night, so I had no excuse but to go. I was totally blown away by this beautiful petite Dublin Girl who rocked the mic and even made the Inde crowd boggie. Lisa had an Irish bodhran player laying down beats while she rapped lyrics I have never heard in my life. Her tracks just keep getting better each time.
