Kennedy’s Plans for Future in Waldo
Kennedy’s Bar & Grill of 75th Street in Waldo was featured a couple of days back on KMBC with talk of the plans for the new building where the pub will be located.
In February I took these photos of Kennedy’s on fire.
Then last month Kennedy’s reopened on 75th St in a nice looking temporary home beside the site of the old pub, but the plan is for a new building - which looks rather impressive - to be built on the site that was burned down and Kennedy’s to be housed on the first floor in there.
In a short video report you can see an emotional Fred Dreiling, the owner, talk about “an old Irish-German spirit about our family” which has driven the owners on to keep Kennedy’s going.
So it’s not just in the Power & Light District that Kansas City can look forward to newly built Irish pub.
