The Kansas City Star today highlights this coming weekend’s Scottish Highland Games.
In what is the area’s biggest Scottish heritage festival, the 29th annual Kansas City Scottish Highland Games moves to the Northland this year after several at the Wyandotte County Fairgrounds.

And then there’s rather an impressive festival of Celtic music, including Weel Gaun Wheelie, Tullamore, Hazel Whyte, Rowan, Ellis Island, and of course the ubiquitous Elders.
