IrishPalooza Presents Irish Idol : Karaoke Style in Martin City, MO
Martin City’s IrishPalooza is presenting a monthly “Irish Idol, Karaoke Style” with a Grand Prize of $750 for the final on parade day of March 16, 2008.
The first Irish Idol took place in October but you have several more chances to enter with the next opportunity being November 28, 2007 at RC’s Back Door, 330 E 135th St (135th St Between Wornall Rd and Holmes), Martin City, Missouri.
There is a Junior Idol from 3-6pm, and then adult Idol takes place from 7-9pm.
It’s free, with proceeds from all contestant voting going to the Ozanam Home in Martin City. 1st and 2nd place winners each month are chosen by audience participation and vote of guest judges. There are prize giveaways for each month’s finalists who all then will compete on parade day March 16 2008 for the Grand Prize of $750
Note that pre-registration is required - signing up on the day of the event only being available if a pre-registered constant drops out.
IRISHPALOOZA
In case you need reminding, Irishpalooza is “the biggest little parade in Kansas City” and 2008 sees the 21st year of this annual St Patrick’s parade. I’ll have more on the IrishPalooza parade for you later.

FINALS March 16th @ IrishPalooza in Martin City
Irish Idol Jr Feburary 17th Sunday @ Pizza Shoppe. There will be only one slot for the Jr. Idol (under 21) and they too will compete on parade day before the parade.

You may choose any song when registering but finalists on March 16 must sing an Irish song. For applications and all the rules see the offical website, and there’s also a page on MySpace with more details.
