Irish Trad Band Kelly Releases Debut CD
The Kansas City based Irish traditional music band Kelly is about to release its long awaited debut CD.
On Saturday 13 September 2008, at 8pm at the IMCC in Union Station, Kelly are having a CD release party for Dair.
After almost 2 years Dair, “oak” in Irish, is finally here. And why is it called Dair? According to the latest post on Kelly’s MySpace blog:
Oak trees are recognized around the world. An Oak tree symbolizes strength and endurance. Because oaks are often struck by lightening, they are said have inspiration and illumination. So, with that, there is hope that this CD will have some of the Oaks attributes.
Kelly are the rather exeperienced group of Kelly Dougherty, Mason Brown, Mike Dugger, Dave Agee, Gordon Bearss, and Kaylee Thomas.
Admission
