Irish History and the Holiday through Music at IMCC
On Sunday December 16, 2007 there is a presentation on “Irish History and the Holiday through Music” by Sandy Jackson at 2pm.
It takes place at the Irish Museum and Cultural Center (IMCC) in Union Station and the Center describes the event as one where Jackson shares Irish history and heritage through many songs and instruments, with a special part about the Celtic and Irish traditions of the Christmas season.
Given that Christmas is about the kids, or has been colonized by them at any rate, this would be family event then and not just an Irish one. Go get yourself an Irish family and have nice afternoon.
Admission is $5 for IMCC members, and $7.50 for the general public, with high school students and younger admitted for free.
You can contact the Irish Center for more information at 816-474-3848 or by email to info[at]irishmuseum[dot]org
Sandy is a professional music educator with special focus on traditional Irish and Celtic music and instruments.
This event is posted on the KC Irish Events calendar.
