Gra Geal Mo Chroi by Chuck Denton
A blog I’ve been following for some time is that of Chuck Denton of Doherty and Sullivan’s Irish Goods in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
Called Grá Geal Mo Chroí, it’s, as he terms it himself, his place where he can be creative, and also where he can post Parade Committee and Children For Peace Committee information. And he can vent, or just plain communicate.
And Chuck would really appreciate it if you communicated right back.
You’ll find a link to photos of this year’s Emerald Isle Parade and accounts of trips away from the KC area. And being a blog it also is quite personal at times.
I wish all Irish business and entertainers in the KC area kept blogs. It’d make it that much easier for so many more people to know what you’re up to and interact with you.
A neat thing has begun to happen to us. We somehow have attracted the attention of folks outside of the metropolitan area. Love it! Check on the blog site, and you can tell where people sign in from. You’ll see Dublin, Boston. Cork, wherever someone decides to check in, they leave me a footprint in my sand. Neat!
Well, be on the lookout next month for Downtown Days. I’m told that there will be 80,000 people Downtown Lee’s Summit, here for shopping, music and food and drink. I hope that if you’re one of them, that you’ll drop by for a visit. And if you can’t visit, pitch in and help!!!
Grá Geal Mo Chroí is Irish. You’re probably already familiar with some of the words. Grá is “love”. Geal is “bright”. Mo is “my”. C(h)roí is “heart”.
