Fifty Percent Grey by Ruairí Robinson
Sunday cinema time.
I’ve been a fan of Ruairí Robinson since his first short film, The House on Dame Street, and eagerly await either a local film festival appearance of his brand new short, and first live action film, The Silent City, or more likely, the full online release of it.
Until then we can still savour Fifty Percent Grey - nominated for an Oscar at the 74th Academy Awards a couple of years back. Here it is courtesy of iFilm though you would do it more justice if you visit Ruairí’s site and download it in either Quicktime (yuk) or DivX:
Do keep an eye out for The Silent City though. With Cillian Murphy, Don Wycherley, and Garvan McGrath, not to mention the look of the trailer, well, there is a talented film-maker among us.
